Fishing Village
A newly built quarter styled after pre-war Königsberg on the Pregolya: half-timbered houses, a promenade and a lighthouse tower with views of the cathedral.

The Fishing Village was built in the 2000s on the site of the old fish market. The houses are new, but this is where the postcard image of the old city comes alive.
The landmark is the lighthouse tower of the ethnographic centre with a viewing deck over Kant Island and the river.
The promenade is lined with Baltic restaurants (smoked fish, Königsberg meatballs) and river boat trips start here.
Tips
- A river boat trip shows the port and old warehouses.
- Come after sunset for the lights.
- Restaurants one street back are cheaper.
