What to see in Kaliningrad in 2 days

Two days is the minimum: one for the city, one for the Curonian Spit. If you want the sea without a long drive, spend day two in Svetlogorsk.

Day 1: Königsberg

Morning — Kant Island and the cathedral with Kant’s grave.

Lunch — Fishing Village on the Pregolya embankment.

Afternoon — Museum of the World Ocean with ships and a submarine at the quay.

Evening — an organ concert in the cathedral or a walk along the embankment.

Day 2: Curonian Spit

Leave early via Zelenogradsk to the Dancing Forest and Efa Height.

Lunch with smoked fish in Rybachy, sunset on the dunes.

Without a car, a full-day tour is easiest.

If the weather is bad

Instead of the spit: the Amber Museum in Dohna Tower, the King’s Gate and Fort No. 5, then the train to Svetlogorsk (about an hour) for sunset.

FAQ

Are 2 days enough for Kaliningrad?

Enough for the essentials: the city and the Curonian Spit. Four days is ideal — then add Svetlogorsk and Yantarny.

What should I see first in Kaliningrad?

Kant Island and the cathedral, Fishing Village, the World Ocean Museum and, outside the city, the Curonian Spit.

Where to go on day two without a car?

Take the train from the North Station to Svetlogorsk or Zelenogradsk (40–60 minutes), or join a tour to the spit.
